Often we get together at the office and work on a charitable project or food donation, but as we all know this year is different. So we decided to have each staff member select a cherished nonprofit organization, and Outmark\u24c7<\/sup> will make a donation to one of these organizations every day between now and Christmas. Because it\u2019s not only fun to be good, it\u2019s fun to do good as well.<\/p>\n

Day 1 (Andrea): Friends of Youth<\/h3>\n

Since 1951, Friends of Youth<\/a> has been helping young people in challenging situations; offering counseling, foster care and transitional housing for homeless youth.<\/p>\n

Day 2 (Britta): Feeding America<\/h3>\n

For more than 40 years, Feeding America<\/a> has responded to the needs of individuals struggling with food insecurity in the United States. They secure and distribute 4.3 billion meals each year through food pantries and meal programs.<\/p>\n

Day 3 (Patrick): The Endometriosis Association<\/h3>\n

The Endometriosis Association<\/a> is a self-help organization of women and families, doctors, scientists, and others interested in providing education, support, and research to those affected by the disease.<\/p>\n

Day 4 (Franchesca): Iris Domestic Violence Center<\/h3>\n

Iris Domestic Violence Center<\/a> is the largest nonprofit domestic violence organization in Louisiana. Their programs include a 24-Hour Domestic Violence Response Hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, legal services, education and training and a wide range of support services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.<\/p>\n

Day 5 (Rheana): Step by Step Family<\/h3>\n

Step by Step Family<\/a> offers professional in-home counseling and education, programs and services that address the unique challenges of at-risk mothers and their families.<\/p>\n

Day 6 (Pete): Food Lifeline<\/h3>\n

Food Lifeline<\/a> is on a mission to end hunger in Western Washington by partnering with 300 food banks, shelters, and meal programs, enabling them to provide the equivalent of 134,000 meals every single day.<\/p>\n

Day 7 (Jen): Birthday Dreams<\/h3>\n

Birthday Dreams<\/a> is dedicated to bringing hope and joy to homeless children with the gift of a birthday party.<\/p>\n

Day 8 (Zach): PAWS<\/h3>\n

Since 1967, PAWS<\/a> has united more than 130,000 cats and dogs with loving families and cared for over 140,000 sick, injured and orphaned wild animals.<\/p>\n

Day 9 (Rick): National Alliance on Mental Illness<\/h3>\n

NAMI<\/a>, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI Washington provides local educational resources and events, statewide outreach, advocacy and affiliate organizational support.<\/p>\n

Day 10 (Leilani): Hale Kipa<\/h3>\n

Hale Kipa<\/a> or \u201cHouse of Friendliness\u201d specializes in working with at-youth risk serving more than 60,000 throughout Hawai\u2019i since its inception in 1970.<\/p>\n

Day 11 (Haley): Al Otro Lado<\/h3>\n

Al Otro Lado<\/a> is a bi-national advocacy and legal aid organization that serves migrants, refugees and deportees in both the USA and Mexico.<\/p>\n

Day 12 (The Whole Team): Eastside Friends of Seniors<\/h3>\n

Eastside Friends of Seniors mobilizes volunteers to provide assistive services to seniors in the Issaquah and Sammamish area.
